Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose of Position:
Under direction, with wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment, is responsible for organizing, directing and coordinating the activities of Divisional Directors to ensure the promotion of Divisional and System policies and programs. May serve as the Deputy to the Assistant Vice President and assumes full responsibility and authority in the latter's absence in the delegated areas of authority.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Directs, coordinates and evaluates operations of divisional departments and departmental directors.
2. Represents the Assistant Vice President in matters involving City, Regional, State and/or Federal agencies.
3. Assists in the establishment of programs and policies reflecting the philosophy and objectives of this Division.
4. Attends staff meetings and reviews budget submissions.
5. Provides recommendations and directions regarding proposed projects and/or other related programs.
6. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Assistant Vice President.
7. Acts as liaison with other departments to assist in providing technical services.
8. Acts in lieu of the Assistant Vice President in their absence and in designated operational areas.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare Administration, Health Care Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related discipline; and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in health and medical service administration, public administration, personnel and labor relations, finance or appropriate functional discipline with an emphasis on planning, liaison and inter-organizational relationships, or related administrative or managerial functions; or
2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in "1" above; and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in areas, as listed in "1"; or
3. Satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. However, all candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in disciplines, as listed in "1" above.

  • Healthcare supply chain management, with specific expertise in perioperative services and OR sourcing
  • Procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation within the perioperative and surgical services fields
  • Cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with experience in market research and supplier performance evaluation
  • A baccalaureate degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field
  • Clinician experience or a clinical background is preferred
  • 10 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility, specifically in perioperative services and OR sourcing
