Job description

Opportunity:

Advanced Practice (CRNA) - (CRNA) - Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)


Job Details:

  • Locum Tenens assignment with ASAP start date on an ongoing basis

  • Shifts are 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

  • Medical direction model; CRNAs work as true backup call to the physician

  • Physician is first call for OR cases and OB; CRNA is called in as needed backup

  • CRNAs do not perform peripheral blocks and epidurals are rare

  • Must have active CSR; may be asked to perform backup call

  • Board certification required (minimum board certification eligible)

  • Required surgical types include: Complete Orthopedic, Head/Spine, Neuro, Pediatric, Regional, and Thoracic

  • Required anesthesia skills include: General Anesthesia (Adult, Pediatric, Neonatal, Trauma), Spinal Anesthesia, Epidural Anesthesia, Regional Anesthesia, Neurosurgical Cases, Thoracic Cases, Complex Orthopedic Cases, and Obstetrical Cases

  • Required procedures include: Central Line placement, Arterial Line placement, PA Catheter placement, Post-op epidural, Post-op extremity blocks, Epidural steroid injections (Lumbar and Cervical), Transforaminal injections (Lumbar and Cervical), and use of X-ray guidance in performance of blocks

  • Required certifications include: ACLS and Other (as specified)

  • Pain management techniques and ventilation management required

  • Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues required

  • CRNA supervision is not required

  • Provider must be located 90+ miles from the facility
