Performance Network Advisor information

What is a performance network advisor?

Performance Network Advisors are professionals who help organizations optimize their network infrastructure to ensure high performance, reliability, and efficiency. They assess current network systems, identify bottlenecks or vulnerabilities, and recommend strategies for improvement. Their role often involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing upgrades or new technologies to support business objectives. Performance Network Advisors work closely with IT teams and may also provide training and documentation for best practices.

How does a performance network advisor typically collaborate with other departments to optimize network performance?

A Performance Network Advisor works closely with IT, engineering, and operations teams to analyze network metrics and identify areas for improvement. Collaboration often involves participating in cross-functional meetings, sharing performance reports, and recommending solutions to resolve bottlenecks or outages. Advisors also liaise with vendors and external partners to ensure that network upgrades align with organizational goals. This collaborative approach helps maintain high network reliability and supports the strategic objectives of the business.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a performance network advisor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Performance Network Advisor, you need expertise in network infrastructure, performance analysis, and troubleshooting, typically supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with network monitoring tools (like SolarWinds or Wireshark), relevant certifications (such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+), and experience with network management systems are highly valued. Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities help you collaborate with teams and address network issues efficiently. These skills ensure optimal network performance, minimize downtime, and support organizational productivity.

Job description

About Voltai
Voltai is developing world models, and agents to learn, evaluate, plan, experiment, and interact with the physical world. We are starting out with understanding and building hardware; electronics systems and semiconductors where AI can design and create beyond human cognitive limits.
About the Team
Backed by Silicon Valley's top investors, Stanford University, and CEOs/Presidents of Google, AMD, Broadcom, Marvell, etc. We are a team of previous Stanford professors, SAIL researchers, Olympiad medalists (IPhO, IOI, etc.), CTOs of Synopsys & GlobalFoundries, Head of Sales & CRO of Cadence, former US Secretary of Defense, National Security Advisor, and Senior Foreign-Policy Advisor to four US presidents.
About this Role
You'll design and deploy high-performance network architectures connecting Voltai's compute infrastructure and distributed simulation environments. You'll optimize for latency, throughput, and fault tolerance, building intelligent network systems that scale across global datacenters and AI workloads.
You might thrive if you have 5+ years of experience in
  • High-speed networking protocols such as Ethernet, InfiniBand, or RDMA
  • Routing, switching, and network automation frameworks
  • Network performance monitoring, telemetry, and diagnostics
  • Building distributed compute fabrics and datacenter interconnects
