Formal Title: Mathnasium Assistant Center Director


Position Summary:

The Mathnasium Assistant Center Director plays a key leadership role in driving center performance, supporting sales growth, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional educational experiences. As a second-in-command, this role partners closely with the Center Director to oversee daily operations, lead the instructional team, engage families, and convert leads into enrollments.


Assistant Center Directors are proactive problem-solvers who take ownership of results, step in when needed, and help create a high-performing, student-centered environment.


Schedule & Flexibility:

Flexible scheduling with a commitment of at least 4 days per week working 4-6 hour shifts (primarily during after-school and evening hours).


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Support day-to-day center operations to ensure efficiency and excellence
  • Oversee administrative tasks including student binders, progress tracking, and Learning Plan updates
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging center environment
  • Step into leadership when the Center Director is unavailable
  • Delegate responsibilities and ensure accountability across the team

Sales & Customer Experience

  • Conduct enrollment conversations and convert leads into students
  • Follow up with warm leads, schedule center visits, and promote assessments
  • Build strong relationships with parents through exceptional communication and service
  • Hold parent conferences and make monthly care calls
  • Re-enroll existing families and support retention efforts

Instructional Leadership

  • Lead and support the instructional floor to ensure students receive high-quality instruction
  • Administer and evaluate assessments to create and adjust Learning Plans
  • Train, coach, and develop instructors to uphold Mathnasium methodology
  • Manage student flow, engagement, and overall learning experience
  • Step in to teach when needed
