Job description

LOCATION: Galaxy Mission Grove
JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician
SUPERVISOR: Robert Lick
START DATE: When filled
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Work with the theatre management team to help keep a 1st class appearance of our building. Diagnose and repair lighting, plumbing, flooring, concession equipment, and various seating issues. Applicants will need to communicate directly with location teams, as well as report to the district manager, director of facilities, facility manager and tech manager.
AVAILABILITY: Must be able to work the day shift. This is a full-time position.
SALARY: $20 - $30/ hour depending on experience.
Benefits: Holidays paid off. 401-k with discretionary employer match for qualifying team members (Full-time employees after 12 months and 1000 hours of paid work, or long-term part-time employees with more than 500 hours of paid work in each of the previous 2 years). Full-time team members (consistently work more than 30 hours per week), are eligible for health, dental, vision and life insurance following 60 day waiting period with employer contribution of up to $395 per month.
Requirements
Required skills.
โ€ข General repairs and maintenance experience.
โ€ข Must be proficient in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with the ability to determine who to call for proper repairs.
โ€ข Must be able to work on a ladder safely and comfortably.
โ€ข Must be able to work with basic hand tools and a drill.
โ€ข Excellent leadership skills, self-motivation, and initiative.
โ€ข Multi-task effectively and meet strict deadlines.
โ€ข Excellent sense of priority setting and time management.
โ€ข Follow and enforce all policies and procedures.
โ€ข Displaying a positive, helpful, and patient attitude toward guests and team members.
โ€ข Ability to follow written and oral instructions, including all company policies.
โ€ข Ability to work up to 40 hours a week, although 40 hours are never guaranteed.
The applicant will possess a minimum of 3 of the below skills/trades and have the desire to learn new skills.
1. Proficient in electrical. Must be able to safely replace ballasts, light switches, and led drivers.
2. Proficient in plumbing. Ability to diagnose and repair minor plumbing issues. Example but not limited to diagnosing a leak on a toilet, securing a toilet properly when loose, replacing a damaged toilet seat, diagnosing and replacing/repairing a malfunctioning auto flush sensor, and ability to install plumbing parts like faucets, flushers, and soap dispensers.
3. Ability to repair/replace broken floor tiles, secure/replace loose VCT or LVT, replace carpet squares, and secure loose or missing carpet pieces.
4. Ability to work on low voltage lighting. This includes replacing floor monograms or low voltage lighting transformers.
5. Ability to do light drywall repair and general painting.
6. Ability to troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment including cleaning the coils on refrigeration equipment.
7. Troubleshoot and repair concession equipment. Equipment includes but is not limited to gold Medal poppers, Perfect Fryers, Turbo Chef ovens, and hot dog grills.
