Psychotherapist - Cystic Fibrosis & Pulmonary Care - Grand Rapids, Michigan

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a licensed Psychotherapist (LMSW or LPC) to join our Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and Pulmonary Care team in a newly created, embedded behavioral health role. This full time position supports adult CF patients and other individuals with chronic pulmonary conditions, addressing the growing psychosocial needs associated with lifelimiting and complex medical diagnoses.

Advances in CF treatment have significantly extended life expectancy, creating new emotional, psychological, and lifeadjustment challenges for patients. This role plays a critical part in delivering integrated, compassionate psychotherapy within a multidisciplinary care model.

Select Position Features & Responsibilities:

  • Full Time, Outpatient, Monday through Friday schedule with opportunity for up to two remote days per week

  • Embedded within the highly respected, accredited CF and Pulmonary clinic

  • Provide individual psychotherapy to adult patients, primarily within the CF program, with some support for other pulmonary patient populations.

  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to patients with chronic and complex medical conditions.

  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team including physicians, nurses, social workers, and behavioral health colleagues.

  • Maintain clinical documentation and meet productivity and quality benchmarks consistent with psychotherapy best practices.

Qualifications:

LMSW or LPC

Full Michigan LMSW or LPC license

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in medical, hospital, or integrated care settings

Background working with patients experiencing chronic illness or complex medical conditions
