Job description

JOB SUMMARY

This position provides general sterile processing services within the hospital. These services include assembly, distribution and storage of supplies and equipment as well as retrieval of dirty equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Minimum 1 year experience as a Sterile Processing Technician. If less than 1 year experience, must have completed a Central Service Technician Program/Course or Surgical Technician Program/Course.

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.   If less than 1 year Sterile Processing Technician experience, must have Completed a Central Service Technician Program/Course or Surgical Technician Program/Course.

License/Certifications:  Must obtain IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification within one year of hire.

Knowledge and Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to manage/prioritize/complete work assignments and other duties as assigned.

Equipment: Able to work with varied decontamination and sterilization equipment.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

PAY RANGE

$23.00 - $34.25

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.  Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills.  For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
