Responsibilities:

  • Perform skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
  • Perform installations and replacements of backup generator systems.
  • Determine modifications required when obstructions are met while installing electrical systems.
  • Develops strong line of communication with Electrical Manager/Master Electrician and within all departments utilizing electrical service.
  • Ability to work from wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, blueprints, and/or verbal instructions.
  • Proficient in the use of standard electrician's tools and measuring/testing instruments.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Active Journeyman Electrician license in Nebraska and/or Iowa.
  • Strong knowledge of DC power equipment, specifically in telecommunications, switchgear & control, and UPS industries.
  • Strong knowledge of generators, transfer switches, and distribution equipment.
  • Proactively stays up to date on safety training, compliance, and knowledge of HAZ MAT and DOT requirements.
  • Adheres to company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and Safety Policy.

Travel Expectations:

  • Get the chance to work on diverse projects across the region without extensive long-haul travel. Most job sites are within a 6-hour driving radius.
  • Travel can be up to 75%, but you'll typically be home every weekend.
  • All travel expenses are covered, including hotel accommodations, per diem, company vehicle, and fuel card.
  • Ideal for electricians who enjoy being in the field, seeing new locations, and earning plenty of overtime while maintaining work-life balance.

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work at various heights.
  • Ability to lift items greater than 25lbs (and up to 150 lbs.) repetitively on a regular basis.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must pass a physical exam, background check and pre-employment drug screening.
