Job Title: Wire Rigging Production 1
Department: Wire Rigging
Reports To: Production Manager
Hours: M-F 8-5
Job Purpose: The Wire Rigging 1 role is designed to manufacture wire rope and chain slings. This job requires a commitment to safety, quality, and concern for the customer's needs in accordance with all company and ISO 9001 standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following and additional duties as assigned.
Properly job in and job out of work orders for job tracking.
Stage materials for building rigging.
Manufacture Soft Eye and Hard Eye wire rope slings, assemble wire rope and chain slings and multi leg slings, in accordance with all production standards.
Clearly communicate with the rest of the rigging team when working with overhead crane and forklifts, and when working with heavy loads, to ensure safety of workers, material, and equipment.
Inspect slings for defect or deviation per Quality Control standards.
Identify and report non-conformities, contributing to corrective and preventive actions as part of continual improvement.
Splices rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
Print tags and attach to slings.
Maintain a clean and neat work environment.
Keep focus on safety, quality, and timeliness.
Compliance with all company policies, including Drug-free workplace.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
