PRN Retail/Inpatient Pharmacist

Location: Houston, MO
Job Type: PRN / Per Diem | 13-Week Contract
Pay Rate: $68โ€“$70/hour

Pride Health is seeking an experienced Retail/Inpatient Pharmacist for a PRN contract opportunity in Houston, Missouri. This position requires flexibility and experience working in both a retail pharmacy and an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Dispense and verify medications accurately in both retail and inpatient settings.
  • Review medication orders to ensure safe and appropriate therapy.
  • Counsel patients on prescription medications, dosage, side effects, and medication adherence.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility pharmacy regulations.
  • Monitor medication therapy and identify potential drug interactions.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintain pharmacy records.
  • Support inventory management and medication safety initiatives.

Requirements

  • Active Pharmacist (RPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) license.
  • Previous experience in both Retail Pharmacy and Inpatient/Hospital Pharmacy is required.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
