Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • At least 2 yrs experience in Med/Surg Pulmonary Nursing 
  • Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
  • Basic Life Support BLS from the American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Per Diem
  • 2 – 12.5 hour shifts per month, both shifts on weekend
  • 1 – 12.5 hour Summer Holiday (Easter, July 4th, Labor Day)
  • 1 – 12.5 hour Winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)

Essential Functions:

  • The Registered Nurse RN organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care
  • Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing
  • Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies
