Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to paediatric medical and surgical patients, performing assessments, administering medications, and implementing individualized care plans.
  • Monitor for post-operative complications and changes in medical status; communicate concerns promptly to the attending physician.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, wound care, and discharge instructions in a developmentally appropriate manner.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, case management, and child-life specialists to support holistic paediatric care.

Requirements

  • Active, unencumbered MO RN licence.
  • Minimum 1 year recent paediatric med/surg or acute care experience required.
  • Current BLS/CPR; PALS preferred.
  • Experience in a children's hospital or paediatric acute care unit strongly preferred.
