Job description

RN, Endoscopy (Per Diem Opportunity)

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) – Dual Role functions as a licensed registered nurse, endoscopy technician, and recovery nurse based on operational volume and patient care needs. This role provides direct patient care including pre-procedure assessment, moderate sedation management, intra-procedure monitoring, post-procedure recovery, and discharge while also performing technical duties including procedure room setup, scope handling, reprocessing support, equipment operation, and procedural assistance. The RN maintains competency across all functional areas to support safe patient care, operational flexibility, and efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

RN Job Requirements:

Education Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care specialty nursing.

Skills:

Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills. Ability to function effectively in high stress, fast paced environments. Leads Universal Protocol / Time Out. Maintains continuous patient advocacy while patients are anesthetized or sedated. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Compassion, resilience, and adaptability.

License / Certification:

Current FL state nursing license. Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire) as required by specialty. Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse (CGRN) preferred NOT mandatory.
