STRUCTURAL WELDER

Department: Manufacturing, Fabrication, Welding 
Location: Fairfield, Ohio — On-site
Role Type: Full-time, 1st Shift

Schedule
Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

*No per diem provided. Local candidates preferred.*

Job Description
We are seeking experienced Welders to join a 1st shift team in Fairfield, Ohio. In this role, the welder will follow blueprint specifications to fabricate and weld parts and components according to customer designs, ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety standards. The position plays a key role in the plant's production output, working collaboratively with other team members to keep projects moving efficiently and on schedule. This is a great fit for a welder who takes pride in precision work and wants steady, first-shift hours with a stable manufacturing employer.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow blueprint specifications to weld and fabricate parts according to customer designs
  • Align, fit, and weld components to meet required specifications
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment
  • Verify completed components meet design and quality requirements
  • Interpret and analyze drawings and schematics to fabricate components accurately
  • Maintain detailed production and quality records as required
  • Follow all established safety and quality procedures
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas
  • Work collaboratively with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

Required Experience/Skills

  • Previous welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
  • Familiarity with welding tools and metalworking equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to follow safe work practices and established procedures
  • Ability to lift raw materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to successfully complete a welding certification test during the interview process
  • Must be able to pass AWS D1.1 and D1.3 weld certifications within the first few weeks of employment

Nice-to-Haves

  • Previous AWS certification

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
