Job description

Hourly Pay Range:
$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Registered Nurse - Emergency Room - Per Diem
Position Highlights:
  • Position: Per Diem, Registered Nurse
  • Location: Evanston, Glenview, Highland Park and Skokie
  • Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem
  • Hours: Night shift 1900-0730; weekend and holiday requirements per level agreement
  • Per Diem Commitment Level: Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs. or Per Diem Level 2: 73-110 hrs. or Per Diem Level 3: 111-144 hrs./ per 6-week schedule
  • Required Travel: Evanston, Glenview, Highland Park and Skokie

What you will do:
  • Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
  • Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
  • Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
  • Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
  • Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:
  • License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
  • Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
  • Certification: BLS/ ACLS/PALS Certification for the Healthcare Provider required. Must maintain an active NIHSS certification
  • Experience: A minimum two year of recent acute care clinical experience in the Emergency Department. Telemetry competence required. Telemetry competence must be demonstrated within 14 days of hire by passing online telemetry test.
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Emergency Department experience
