Job description

Trillium Construction is now hiring an experienced Pump Mechanic in East Chicago, IN!

This is a long-term opportunity for a skilled mechanic with experience repairing and rebuilding industrial pumps and rotating equipment.

Pay: $32/hour
Per Diem: $770/week 
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift, 40-48 hrs

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble industrial pumps ranging from small precision pumps to equipment weighing up to 20,000 lbs.
  • Replace bearings, seals, sleeves, and other mechanical components.
  • Inspect and polish shafts using a lathe.
  • Read and interpret assembly diagrams and blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot worn or damaged pump components.
  • Perform all work in a shop environment alongside a lead mechanic.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience disassembling, repairing, and rebuilding industrial pumps or rotating equipment.
  • Experience replacing bearings, seals, shafts, and related components.
  • Ability to read assembly diagrams and blueprints.
  • Lathe or machining experience is a plus.
  • Must own a complete set of standard mechanical hand tools.
  • Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings.
