Work Environment

As a remote position, our Senior Licensed Mental Health Counselor will enjoy the flexibility of working from home while remaining actively engaged with our collaborative team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' substance abuse histories, mental health status, and individual treatment requirements.
• Design tailored treatment plans that address the complexities of both addiction and any co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Collaborate closely with the treatment team, including medical doctors, nurses, and case managers, to provide a comprehensive and integrated care experience for clients.
• Educate and support family members through workshops or individual consultations, fostering a supportive environment that promotes understanding and engagement during the recovery process.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records in compliance with all applicable ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on clients who are navigating the challenges of addiction and substance use disorders, often accompanied by co-occurring mental health issues. You will work with a diverse population that includes individuals from various cultural backgrounds, offering the chance to tailor your therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each client.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Specialized knowledge or training in addiction counseling and a passion for addressing substance abuse issues are required for this role.
• Demonstrable understanding of evidence-based practices for treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and effectively inspire clients towards their recovery goals.
• Excellent communication skills, with a focus on teamwork alongside other professionals within an integrated care framework.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical mental health setting, particularly in substance abuse treatment.
• Previous roles that involved collaborative care and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Experience with digital health tools and platforms to enhance patient care in a remote environment.

Compensation and Benefits

• Attractive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and professional credentials.
