Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings, utilizing a mix of clinical interviews and standardized tools to determine clients' substance use history and mental health needs.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that comprehensively address both addiction and any co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), tailoring techniques to each client's unique circumstances.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team, including psychiatrist consultations, medication management, and case management to ensure an integrated holistic approach to treatment.
• Provide ongoing education and support to clients' families, fostering their involvement in the recovery process and enhancing the social support system for each individual.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance and facilitating quality assurance.

Qualifications

• A current and valid professional license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a board-certified Psychologist.
• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise or training specific to addiction counseling and treatment methodologies.
• A solid understanding of evidence-based practices for treating substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Exceptional therapeutic and interviewing skills, with a commitment to establishing strong therapeutic alliances to motivate clients toward recovery.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of relevant experience in a mental health counseling setting, particularly in substance abuse treatment.
