Job description

Radiology Technologist

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Radiology Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team on a Per-Diem basis. This position provides technical skills involving radiography and fluoroscopy. Performs and processes radiographs of various parts of the body to assist physicians in the detection of foreign bodies and diagnosis of disease or injury. Applies prescribed radiation for the purpose of obtaining diagnostic information. Cross-trained and performs computed tomography exams.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate competency with the Medical Imaging Equipment and in all radiology procedures
  • Protect patients from radiation and mechanical hazards
  • Prepare studies for interpretation by the Radiologist
  • Knowledge of EHR and PACS systems
  • Assist Radiologist in performing specialized procedures

Position Requirements:

  • Required: Associate's Degree
  • Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology, either a college or hospital-trained program
  • Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) and current State of Wisconsin License as a Licensed Radiographer.
  • Required Certification: Current BLS certification
  • Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills โ€“ Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.
