A Per Diem inpatient hospital pharmacist opportunity is available in Eastover, SC, to provide essential pharmacy services supporting a 60-bed facility specializing in inpatient behavioral health. This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with at least one year of inpatient hospital experience seeking flexible scheduling within a supportive environment.
Schedule & Coverage Details:
- Training week: September 21st
- September 26-27: On-call coverage
- September 28 – October 2: 8am-4pm shifts plus on-call after each shift
- October 3-4: On-call only
- October 5-9: 8am-4pm shifts plus on-call after each shift
- October 10-11: On-call only
- October 12-15: 8am-4pm shifts plus on-call after each shift
Weekend coverage will be remote on-call, involving answering clinical questions and verifying orders as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify inpatient medication orders and ensure accurate dispensing
- Manage refilling of Omnicell automated systems
- Process medication orders from Cardinal system
- Provide remote clinical support during on-call periods
- Complete required one-day training prior to coverage start
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active and clear South Carolina pharmacist license
- Minimum one year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Basic familiarity with inpatient psychiatric pharmacy preferred
- Comfortable working independently as the sole pharmacy staff on-site
- No prior experience needed with Wellsky Order Entry System or Omnicell automation—comprehensive training provided
