Nurse Practitioner – Per Diem

Location: Clearwater, FL
Address: 401 Corbett St, Powell Professional Center, Clearwater, FL 33756
Pay Rate: $58/hr (Paid Weekly)
Position Type: Part-Time / Per Diem 
Start Date: September 21, 2026 End Date: December 31, 2027
Allmed Benefits: Vision, Health, Dental Insurance and 401(k)
Schedule: Intermittent coverage, approximately 1 day per week as needed
Hours: Up to 10 hours per shift; weekly hours are not guaranteed

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide primary and episodic care in a workplace-based health clinic. This is a per diem position primarily designed to provide coverage for provider vacations and time off, so hours may vary based on clinic needs.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting employee health, wellness, education, and chronic disease management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care services in a workplace-based clinical setting.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with acute, low-acuity illnesses and injuries.
  • Provide extended episodic care for conditions requiring short-term follow-up.
  • Perform and oversee CLIA-waived testing and other routine clinical services.
  • Prescribe and dispense medications within applicable scope of practice.
  • Provide biometric screenings and health and wellness education.
  • Conduct one-on-one health coaching and refer employees to appropriate wellness programs.
  • Support chronic disease management and preventive care initiatives.
  • Provide strong patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, Medical Assistants, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Partner with local HR and Benefits teams to support employee health and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Utilize EHR systems, with Epic experience preferred.
  • Provide clinic coverage when other providers are unavailable.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, customer service, and patient satisfaction.
  • Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Active and unrestricted Autonomous Nurse Practitioner license in Florida.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current DEA licensure and prescriptive authority.
  • Minimum 2 years of independent Nurse Practitioner experience in an internal medicine or family practice setting.
  • Strong primary care experience, including women's health.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to cover provider absences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with chronic disease management.
  • Experience in a workplace or occupational health clinic.
  • Experience with Epic or another electronic health record system.
  • Experience providing health coaching and wellness education.
  • Strong background in preventive care and employee health initiatives.

Clinic Hours

Providers may be required to cover clinic hours of Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM, depending on operational needs.

This is a per diem position. Weekly hours are not guaranteed, and assignments will be scheduled based on provider vacation coverage and clinic needs.
