Per Diem Pharmaceutical Registered Nurses (RNs) are licensed nurses who work on an as-needed basis, often with pharmaceutical companies. Their primary responsibilities may include administering investigational drugs, monitoring patients in clinical trials, educating participants, and ensuring compliance with research protocols. These nurses typically have flexible schedules and may work in various settings such as clinics, hospitals, or directly with pharmaceutical firms. Per diem roles offer flexibility but may not provide guaranteed hours or benefits. This position requires strong clinical skills and experience in both nursing and clinical research environments.

However, this flexibility also means you'll need to quickly adapt to varied shifts and different team dynamics. Daily responsibilities typically include medication administration, patient education, and collaborating with pharmacists and physicians to ensure patient safety. Because you may work with different teams or in various departments, strong communication and adaptability are essential to provide seamless patient care and maintain continuity with full-time staff.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a per diem pharmaceutical RN?

To thrive as a Per Diem Pharmaceutical RN, you need a valid RN license, strong clinical assessment abilities, and a thorough understanding of medication administration and pharmaceutical protocols.
