Job description

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is actively hiring full time, part-time, and on-call Behavior Technicians to support special need students for the 26/27 school year in Mission Viejo and other locations across Orange County  

What We Offer: 

  • Schedule: Full Time (M-F), Part Time/ Per Diem
  • Pay Rates: up to $30/hr (based on experience/location)
  • Location: Mission Viejo and across Orange County 
  • Paid Trainings and Weekly Pau 

Responsibilities

  • As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in achieving their goals through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Implement Behavior Plans: Follow individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the supervising BCBA
  • Behavioral Support Strategies: Utilize behavior-analytic strategies such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Naturalistic Teaching, and Reinforcement Techniques to support clients
  • Data Collection & Documentation: Accurately track client progress and submit session notes in compliance with UTC policies
  • Client Engagement: Provide positive reinforcement and professional communication to encourage skill development and behavior improvement
  • Collaboration: Work closely with BCBAs, therapists, and caregivers to ensure consistency in intervention across all settings
  • Challenging Behaviors: Manage and address challenging behaviors according to individualized behavior plans and training
  • Confidentiality & Professionalism: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 6 months of ABA experience required 
  • Ability to pass a background check and TB test (Required)
  • Reliable transportation to school sites - Tustin, Orange, Santa Ana, Garden Grove, Irvine, Anaheim, Saddleback, etc. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
