Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2+ years of PACU experience and ACLS certification with no weekends or on-call.
Job Details
• Work in the PACU (Phase I) of a cancer hospital environment,
• Primarily oncology patient population with acuity ranging from outpatient to ICU level care,
• Supports specialty surgeries including flap reconstruction (ENT, breast, and other), thoracic, and neurosurgery,
• Typical patient ratio of 1:2,
• Day shift schedule consisting of (5) 8-hour shifts, varying between 12:00 PM-8:00 PM and 1:00 PM-9:00 PM,
• No weekends, no holidays, and no call requirements,
• Epic EMR experience required,
Job Requirements
• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration,
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS),
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required, with current and consistent experience in the specialty within the last 12 months,
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition/management,
• Teaching hospital experience preferred,
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program,
• No first-time travelers considered,
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role and the second from a Manager/Director or Charge RN (no coworker references accepted),
Additional Information
• Provide post-anesthesia care to a primarily oncology patient population undergoing complex surgical procedures,
• Locals are accepted at the same rate,
• Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more,
• Current employees of the health system are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at this or any affiliated Ohio State University hospital location,
• RTO must be requested and built into the contract at time of consideration, limited to 7 days or less,
• Ohio fingerprinting is required promptly after signing the contract as part of the credentialing process
