Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:

  • Responsible for providing professional nursing care for clinic patients under the direction of a Physician(s) and within their scope of practice according to the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
  • Performs patient assessment and triage, either in person or over the phone.
  • Assists in all phases of patient care including admitting, assisting during procedures, and recovery.
  • Accurately handles all specimens, completes laboratory request forms, and verifies information is correct.
  • Ensures equipment and supplies are cleaned, sterilized, and maintains medical inventory of supplies when needed.
  • Updating records as needed.
  • Assisting with the overall delivery of patient care in the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary:

Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: 

  • Level I: $47.53-$64.31 per hour.
  • Level II: $52.29-$70.74 per hour.

Workdays: This position is primarily located at the Gastroenterology Endoscopy Center in South Tualatin, with weekly travel coverage to the Gastroenterology Endoscopy Center in South Oregon City. Typical on-call hours are from Monday to Friday, consisting of 10-hour shifts, with three required Fridays each month as assigned. 

Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience, and values, including:

  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is strongly preferred. Specialty Care GI Experience is a plus!
  • Current Oregon state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current ACLS/BLS or within 60 days of hire.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred. Epic experience is a plus!
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
