About The Company:
Our client is a leading organization delivering complex industrial construction projects across the energy sector. They are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support a major capital project by providing schedule oversight, progress analysis, and project controls expertise throughout the construction lifecycle.
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Project Scheduler with Oracle Primavera P6 expertise to support a large-scale industrial construction project. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining the owner-side project schedule, validating construction progress through regular field observations, and providing schedule analysis to project leadership.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting EPC, power generation, or heavy industrial construction projects and is comfortable working both in the field and in a project office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, update, and maintain integrated project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Conduct routine site visits to verify construction progress and confirm schedule accuracy.
  • Evaluate contractor schedule updates and compare reported progress with actual field conditions.
  • Monitor critical path activities, milestones, schedule logic, float, constraints, and project sequencing.
  • Identify schedule risks, potential delays, and construction impacts while recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze schedule revisions, recovery plans, and time-impact changes for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Prepare weekly schedule reports, executive summaries, and look-ahead schedules.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings with construction, engineering, commissioning, and project management teams.
  • Maintain organized schedule documentation, progress narratives, and project records.
  • Support turnover, startup, commissioning, and outage planning through accurate forecasting.

Qualifications:
  • Previous scheduling experience supporting EPC, power generation, heavy industrial, or large construction projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 .
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), schedule logic, baselines, calendars, float analysis, and forecasting.
  • Experience reviewing contractor schedules and identifying sequencing, logic, and progress issues.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction documents, and work packages.
  • Comfortable working in an active construction environment with regular field presence.
  • Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

Preferred:
  • Owner-side scheduling experience.
  • Power generation or heavy industrial project background.
  • Startup, commissioning, or outage planning experience.
  • Knowledge of earned value management, delay analysis, schedule risk assessment, and change management.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
