 Physical Therapist

Per Diem (PRN) | All Locations in Jacksonville & St. Augustine, FL

 General Summary

  • Evaluate patients’ strength, range of motion, balance, and overall physical function.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans, including exercises, stretches, and use of therapeutic equipment.
  • Teach patients to use assistive devices like crutches, wheelchairs, and prostheses.
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient recovery.
  • Assess patient medical history and physical capabilities.
  • Apply therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, hot/cold therapy, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound.
  • Monitor and record patient progress; update plans as needed.
  • Promote patient independence and safe reintegration into daily life.
  • Maintain and properly use physical therapy equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical physical therapy experience.
  • Current state license as a Physical Therapist and CPR certification.
  • Strong communication skills and compassion for patients.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, assist patients, and handle physically demanding tasks.
