What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Per Diem Flu Shot RN?

To thrive as a Per Diem Flu Shot RN, you typically need an active RN license, strong vaccination technique, and up-to-date knowledge of immunization protocols. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), vaccine inventory management systems, and proper use of PPE is necessary. Excellent communication, flexibility, and efficiency help you provide safe and reassuring care in fast-paced, temporary clinic environments. These skills ensure accurate vaccine administration, patient safety, and effective workflow during high-volume immunization clinics.

What are some typical challenges faced by Per Diem Flu Shot RNs during flu season?
