Job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Controls Engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial automation, control systems implementation, and managing automation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks at Integrators, OEM's and Tier Suppliers. 50% Automotive and 50% Non- Automotive
  • Perform system upgrades and modifications to existing automation systems
  • Commission new control systems and equipment
  • Work with customers to define project scope and requirements
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets
  • Train customer personnel on system operation and maintenance
  • Travel to customer sites across North America

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in industrial automation and controls
  • Proficient in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens and or others)
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively

Desired Qualification (not required)

  • Ignition  / SCADA experience 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and handle equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of standing, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in manufacturing environments
  • Valid passport for occasional international travel
