Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) - Float Pool

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night Shift - 12 hour shifts, 3 days a week

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for our float pool. The position primarily involves providing care in the emergency department, attending to boarder patients who may require med/surg, stepdown, or ICU level care. There may also be occasions to float to acute units as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy Emergency Department.
  • Attend to boarder patients in the ED as well as potentially float to other acute care units.
  • Effectively communicate with healthcare team members regarding patient care.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes to the appropriate staff.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar sized Level 1 trauma facility.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications are required.
  • Must provide a resume with no gaps, an ED skills checklist, and ED references.
