Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) - Float Pool

Schedule

This is a 12-hour night shift position, following a 3-day on, 3-day off rotation.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for our float pool. This role is critical in supporting our very busy emergency department, primarily tending to border patients, which may include medical/surgical, stepdown, and ICU patients. The nurse may also be asked to float to an acute unit if necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to patients in the emergency department and other units as needed.
  • Conduct assessments, administer medications, and manage patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar-sized Level 1 trauma facility.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications are required.
  • Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
