Job description

Physical Therapist Per Diem Adult Outpatient Therapy The Physical Therapist Per Diem will: Develop proper therapeutic treatment plan of care and anticipated outcome for each patient in accordance with a written and signed Physician's order or prescription, as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors Modify treatment plan based on patient response and/or ineffectiveness as noted in the medical record. Demonstrate effective teaching skills with patients/family members/caregivers and maintains safety and care of the patient during treatment sessions Assist in discharge planning of patients along with other members of the health care team Document initial assessments, reassessments and progress notes for each patient in accordance with established department policy and procedures Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's, Master's degree or DPT, graduate of an entry level masters or doctorate program in Physical Therapy from a college or university accredited by Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Requires a current New Jersey State license and registration in Physical Therapy or eligibility.

Previous experience preferred but not necessary. New graduates acceptable. Requires analytic ability, use of independent judgment and sufficient interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with patients, families, students, peers and other health care professionals.

BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association. We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
