Job description

The Bread Baker is responsible for helping oversee the production of Peppermill bread products. This includes, but is not limited to, breads, rolls, focaccia and seasonal items.

Duties:

  • Supports the company culture expectation on delivering 4 diamond service

  • Strives to attain excellence in making our baked products the best in Northern Nevada.

  • Prepares consistent and high-quality breads, rolls and baked goods for all outlets within Peppermill.

  • Prepares all bakery items as needed, including breakfast pastries, specialty breads and rolls, amenities, specialty desserts and show pieces.

  • Assists with maintaining all recipe files and production schedules for all Peppermill bakery items.

  • Communicates with management regarding inventory stock levels.

  • Displays superior teamwork abilities and assists fellow culinarians whenever and wherever needed.

  • Follows all the sanitation procedures as set by the Company

  • Checks and maintains all bakery equipment and reports any damaged or broken pieces to management in a timely manner.

  • Keeps management fully informed of all unsafe/unsanitary conditions, problems or unusual matters.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • High School diploma or G.E.D., culinary apprenticeship or culinary school graduate.

  • Four or more years in high volume bakery production in Hotel/Casino, Restaurant, or Bakery is preferred.

  • Experience with pre-ferments and a spiral mixer is preferred.

  • Ability to stand throughout a shift or for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to read/understand English and communicate with co-workers.
