The Opportunity
As a Data Consultant, Pension Risk Transfer, you will play a critical role in evaluating, cleansing, and validating annuitant-level data for new business onboarding and contract execution. You will transform complex data from multiple sources into trusted, decision-ready outputs that support due diligence, risk review, implementation, and ongoing operations. This is an opportunity for a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional to apply deep data expertise in a fast-paced environment, partner across business functions, and help improve how we scale a high-growth business.
The Team
The Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) New Business Team is responsible for supporting the successful onboarding and execution of new PRT business. The group plays a critical role in managing the end-to-end new business lifecycle-from deal close through implementation-ensuring accuracy, readiness, and a seamless transition into ongoing operations.
The team works cross-functionally with partners in pricing, legal, enforce administration, and technology to ensure new cases are set up correctly, complex requirements are addressed, and operational processes are executed efficiently. Their work often includes coordinating data readiness, resolving issues, supporting system configuration, and driving process improvements to enhance scalability in a growing business
The Impact
  • Lead detailed scrubbing, validation, and analysis of annuitant-level data for new Pension Risk Transfer transactions to ensure completeness, consistency, and usability.
  • Translate raw data from one or more sources into accurate, decision-ready reports, reconciliations, and databases used for due diligence, implementation, and operational setup.
  • Perform rigorous quality checks, balancing, and control reconciliations to confirm the integrity of both inbound and outbound data.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies, exceptions, and missing information with speed, sound judgment, and strong documentation.
  • Document assumptions, corrections, findings, and unresolved issues clearly to support transparency, auditability, and handoff readiness.
  • Partner closely with sales, operations, implementation, technology, and other stakeholders to clarify data questions, improve readiness, and support successful onboarding.
  • Support ad hoc reporting, analysis, and issue resolution across the broader operations organization as business needs evolve.
  • Recommend and help implement process improvements that strengthen data quality, reduce rework, and improve efficiency across the new business pipeline.

The Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data consulting, operations analytics, or a related role requiring high accuracy and strong problem solving.
  • 3+ years of experience with advanced Excel skills and demonstrated experience working with large, detailed datasets from multiple sources.

The Ideal Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, including work in Pension Risk Transfer, defined benefit plans, retirement operations, insurance operations, or complex financial services environments.
  • Experience with annuitant-level data, pension administration data, onboarding new business, or data readiness for implementations.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data manipulation and automation tools.
  • A track record of identifying process improvements, influencing partners, and helping teams scale through better data practices.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect anomalies, reconcile discrepancies, and deliver high-quality outputs under deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Experience organizing data into clear, usable outputs for business partners and decision makers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings clearly and collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong quality standards.

Salary Range:
$86,200-$113,100
