Job description

Amazon's Security team is looking for a Security Testing Engineer to execute security testing and assessment for a U.S. Government program building a classified AI Factory. We are a hands-on team that validates our defenses by actively testing them. In this role you execute security control tests, penetration tests, and secure-configuration (STIG) checks, document findings and support remediation tracking, and build the tooling and scripts that make testing repeatable. You will work alongside senior testing engineers, security engineers, and ISSOs to generate the evidence that proves the system is defensible. If you like hands-on offensive and validation work on systems that matter, this role is for you.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Key job responsibilities
  • Execute security control tests, penetration tests, and STIG checks.
  • Document findings and support remediation tracking.
  • Build and maintain test tooling and scripts.
  • Support the security control assessment and evidence collection.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of any combination of the following: application security frameworks, identity and access controls, incident response, mobile security, cloud computing and security, AI security, threat intelligence, and penetration testing experience
  • Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
  • Hands-on pen-testing and STIG-validation experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience in classified/disconnected environments.
  • Security certification (e.g., GPEN, Security+).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
