Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse - PACU
Location: Atlanta, GA
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8-Hour Day Shifts
Schedule: 4 Days/Week | Approx. 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 32 Hours/Week

Compensation:
  • Pay Rate: $46-$55/hour (based on experience)
Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a fast-paced surgical recovery environment. The ideal candidate will have strong post-operative nursing skills and experience caring for patients recovering from a variety of surgical procedures.

Surgical Services Supported:
  • Orthopedic Surgery
  • Plastic Surgery
  • General Surgery
  • Colorectal Surgery
  • Gynecologic Surgery
Responsibilities:
  • Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for surgical patients
  • Monitor patients during the immediate post-operative recovery phase
  • Assess airway status, vital signs, pain levels, and overall recovery progress
  • Administer medications and manage post-operative symptoms and complications
  • Coordinate discharge readiness, patient education, and recovery instructions
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and recovery protocols
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced PACU setting
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or perioperative nursing experience required
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required
  • AHA BLS Certification required
  • AHA ACLS Certification required
  • Strong outpatient surgical recovery experience preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity post-operative environment
