Location: Orange Park, FL 32073
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PreOp PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Orange Park, FL. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the preoperative and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) settings, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes throughout the surgical experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the preoperative area, preparing them for surgery and ensuring all necessary assessments and documentation are completed.
  • Monitor and care for patients in the PACU following anesthesia, assessing vital signs, managing pain, and addressing any complications promptly.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth transitions between surgical phases.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding preoperative and postoperative care instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with ASC policies and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards to promote a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
  • Experience in PreOp and PACU nursing preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and patient care standards.
  • Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Ability start and maintain peripheral IVs
