Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
  • Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications required
  • Experience with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma, psych holds, and pediatric emergency care
  • Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, stroke-certified, and STEMI-certified setting preferred
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
  • Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or supervisor reference
Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in the Emergency Department
  • Perform triage and prioritize care for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognize emergent changes, and respond appropriately
  • Administer emergency medications and support procedural sedation monitoring
  • Care for trauma, stroke, STEMI, psychiatric, and medically complex patients
  • Manage ventilated patients and support advanced ED interventions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote efficient patient flow and optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols, including float and weekend coverage as assigned
