Pay Rate: Min $14.50 to Max $20.50
Summary
Responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the Bar Ready processing system while performing product inspection and foreign material removal duties to ensure finished peanut products meet all food safety, quality, and customer specification requirements. Supports operational efficiency, product traceability, sanitation standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Production Operations
• Operate and monitor the Bar Ready line through the 32-bin system or pour-up process.
• Operate, monitor, and optimize optical sorters.
• Perform startup, shutdown, and changeover procedures.
• Change shaker screens to maintain proper sizing and maximize yield.
• Feed finished product to bulk loadout operations.
• Monitor product flow and equipment performance.
• Perform minor adjustments including clearing blockages and opening chutes.
• Inspect product at the picking table and remove foreign material and non-conforming product.
Quality & Food Safety
• Maintain health, safety, and food safety as the highest priorities.
• Inspect product for defects and foreign material.
• Maintain traceability documentation.
• Collect required samples and perform quality checks.
• Comply with GMP, HACCP, BRC, and customer requirements.
Equipment & Maintenance
• Report equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness per OEM standards.
• Stop production when unsafe conditions exist.
General Support
• Support sanitation and 5S initiatives.
• Assist with forklift, bagging, picking, or production support activities as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervision.
Performance Expectations
• Maintain documentation accuracy.
• Support continuous improvement and waste reduction.
• Maintain attendance and professionalism.
• Communicate effectively during shift transitions.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred. One year of manufacturing, food processing, agricultural processing, or industrial equipment operation experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Certifications
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Lockout/Tagout training.
• Food Safety / GMP training.
Physical Demands
Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods during 12-hour shifts and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts may be required.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a peanut processing facility with exposure to moving mechanical equipment, peanut dust, elevated heights, and moderate noise levels. Required PPE must be worn at all times.
