Xcite Automotive is hiring a PDR Tech at our partner dealership in Pinellas Park, FL!

Job Description: As a PDR Tech at Xcite Automotive, you will play a key role in restoring customer and inventory vehicles to dealership-ready condition through high-quality paintless dent repair. This position is responsible for repairing dents, door dings, creases, and hail damage while maintaining OEM-level quality standards in a fast-paced dealership and reconditioning environment.

The ideal candidate is an experienced PDR technician with strong hands-on expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to consistently deliver precise repairs. The PDR Technician must be capable of working efficiently in a high-volume environment while maintaining quality, professionalism, and consistent communication with dealership and reconditioning teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality paintless dent repair on customer, inventory, and reconditioning vehicles.
  • Repair door dings, minor collision dents, creases, hail damage, and other repairable dents without painting or refinishing.
  • Accurately inspect and assess vehicle damage to determine the appropriate repair method.
  • Provide accurate repair estimates based on the size, location, severity, and complexity of vehicle damage.
  • Utilize PDR tools, glue-pulling equipment, lighting systems, and other specialty equipment to complete repairs safely and efficiently.
  • Use proper light reflection techniques to identify damage and monitor repair progress.
  • Complete hail damage repairs while maintaining consistent quality and production standards.
  • Inspect completed repairs to ensure dents and imperfections have been properly removed and surfaces meet dealership and OEM-level appearance expectations.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, hours billed, and parts, tools, or materials used as required.
  • Communicate repair status, vehicle damage, and any additional concerns to service managers, dealership personnel, and reconditioning team members.
  • Collaborate with detail technicians, body repair technicians, service personnel, and other reconditioning team members to maintain efficient vehicle turnaround.
  • Identify additional damage or repair needs and communicate findings to management before proceeding when required.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas and properly care for PDR tools and equipment.
  • Follow all dealership and company safety, compliance, and vehicle-handling procedures.
  • Work efficiently to meet dealership production schedules and vehicle turnaround expectations.
  • Assist other reconditioning team members as needed to support overall workflow and operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications / Must-Haves

  • At least 3 years of professional Paint-less Dent Repair experience in a dealership, reconditioning center, or equivalent environment.
  • 35 years of hands-on PDR experience preferred, including high-volume dealership and hail damage repair.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform dent removal, crease repair, door ding repair, and hail damage repair.
  • Strong proficiency with PDR tools, glue pulling, and light reflection techniques.
  • Proven ability to consistently deliver OEM-level and dealership-quality repairs.
  • Experience assessing vehicle damage and preparing accurate repair estimates.
  • Ability to document completed work, repair hours, and materials or tools used.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision workmanship.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment without sacrificing repair quality.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with managers, technicians, dealership employees, and reconditioning team members.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean or acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work full-time, including weekends when required by dealership scheduling needs.

Preferred Qualifications / Nice-to-Haves

  • Previous experience performing high-volume hail damage repair.
  • Experience working directly within a dealership service or reconditioning department.
  • Experience with mobile PDR operations or large-scale vehicle reconditioning.
  • Familiarity with PDR estimating and documentation software, including MobileTechRX, CCC, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting fleet, rental car, auction, or high-volume inventory vehicles.
  • Previous exposure to collision repair or body shop environments, particularly damage assessment and repair estimating.
  • Experience with advanced dent and crease repair techniques.
  • Strong understanding of dealership vehicle reconditioning standards and production workflows.
  • Ability to assist or mentor junior PDR technicians.
