PATIENT CARE AIDE (PCA): PRN 12-Hr Shifts
Valley Hope of Parker has an exciting opportunity for a PRN Patient Care Aide to join our dedicated and passionate team!

Valley Hope of Parker, located just outside of Denver, has been serving the people of Colorado with residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment services since 1989.
Our work is mission-driven, supported by a strong culture of teamwork and a compassionate environment that is the foundation of the Valley Hope organization.
Requirements:
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license is required
  • Associate's degree with an emphasis in nursing preferred.
  • One (1) year of work experience in behavioral or healthcare work environment including direct patient care is preferred
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required; or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred

COMPENSATION:
  • PRN Rate is $24/hr.

Shift Differentials:
  • Night: $5.00
  • Weekend Night: $5.50

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Assists nursing staff in providing care for patients in accordance with identified treatment plans.
  • Measures vital signs patients and monitors the health of patients.
  • Assists patients with everyday needs.
  • Communicates with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patients' treatment and status.
  • Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely; completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Transports patients as needed.
  • Maintains a safe and sanitary environment applying infection control techniques and universal precautions.
  • Maintains and demonstrates a current working knowledge of applicable medical procedures and nursing care based on company policy and State and Federal guidelines.
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques on patients as directed.
