  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications.
  • Conduct first article inspections and document inspection results.
  • Support PPAP documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured components.
  • Analyze dimensional results and identify parts that fall outside required tolerances.
  • Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Assist with process capability studies and dimensional analysis.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve dimensional and quality concerns.
  • Utilize manual and automated inspection equipment as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and manufacturing processes.
Quality & Inspection Equipment
The facility's inspection capabilities include equipment such as:
  • Brown & Sharpe X-CEL 7-10-7 CMM
  • Brown & Sharpe X-CEL 9-15-9 CMM
  • Starrett manual CMM
  • Scantech SimScan 30
  • Optical comparator
  • Additional precision dimensional inspection and measurement equipment
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in quality inspection within a machining or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on CMM programming and operation experience.
  • Experience with Brown & Sharpe equipment and/or PC-DMIS or similar CMM software strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
  • Experience performing first article and dimensional inspections.
  • Knowledge of PPAP documentation and quality reporting.
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and comparators.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify dimensional discrepancies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with manufacturing and engineering teams.
Why This Opportunity?
You'll be joining a precision manufacturing environment where quality is an integral part of the production process. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced inspection technology while playing an important part in ensuring components meet demanding dimensional and customer requirements.
