Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Desert View Psychiatry PC, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client, ensuring alignment with their personal goals and aspirations.
• Providing engaging individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other therapeutic approaches.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans within our electronic health record (EHR) system, keeping detailed notes on client progress and adjustments to treatment strategies.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate care and provide comprehensive treatment options for clients.
• Offering crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring that acute conditions are promptly addressed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a culturally diverse client population, ranging from children to adults, who may present with a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship issues. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A valid and active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in the state of Massachusetts.
• A Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field. Note that a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with team members.
• The ability to work independently while also being an active participant in a virtual team setting.
• A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical and legal standards of professional conduct.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience providing mental health counseling services is required, candidates with experience in a community health setting or with specific population needs such as trauma-informed care or substance abuse treatment will be particularly valued. Familiarity with telehealth and remote counseling methodologies is a bonus.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting your experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
