Job description

Position Title: HR ADP Workforce Now Specialist

Status: 6-month contract. Temporary.

Location: Bronx, New York, Zip 10462– On-site

Hours: Mon – Fri, 8:30 am – 5 pm

Pay: $30/hr

Job Summary

We are a completely self-contained community within the city, with 171 buildings located on 129 landscaped acres and offering apartments affordable to a variety of income levels. Within this unique setting, the position reports to the VP of HR and is responsible for building out, optimizing, and supporting ADP Workforce Now across three separate entities. The primary goal of this role is to automate HR processes, improve system utilization, support HR and business operations, and train managers to use ADP Workforce Now efficiently and consistently. To achieve uniformity, the three entities will mirror one another’s ADP Workforce Now processes and workflows. Collectively, these entities have a total employee population of approximately 480.

Essential functions

  • Evaluate ADP Workforce Now’s configuration, workflows, and usage to determine how well the system supports HR operations, business needs, manager access, and accurate HR data.
  • Identify ways to streamline and automate HRIS processes to boost efficiency.
  • Develop and execute a plan to optimize ADP Workforce Now workflows, portals, access, and functionality.
  • Configure ADP Workforce Now portals to ensure they are user-friendly, efficient, and meet the needs of managers, HR leadership, and business operations.
  • Work with the VP of HR to gather requirements and workflow needs for optimizing ADP Workforce Now.
  • Create and maintain ADP Workforce Now workflows to improve efficiency and consistency for managers.
  • Manage manager access, permissions, and security in ADP Workforce Now per the VP of HR's guidelines.
  • Train managers to use ADP Workforce Now portals efficiently and consistently across all entities.
  • Provide first-line support to managers and HR users, answering questions, resolving issues, or escalating as needed.
  • Routinely test the application, follow up on user issues, and help diagnose ADP Workforce Now concerns.
  • Find new ways to automate ADP Workforce Now processes to improve manager adoption and efficiency.
  • Maintain clear documentation of configurations, portal builds, workflows, access, change logs, user guides, and training materials.
  • Build and run reports, validate data, and help with basic HR data collection.
  • Follow HR policies, procedures, security guidelines, and access controls to ensure compliance.
  • Enhance ADP Workforce Now and recommend ways to improve HR processes, usability, and manager experience.
  • Work with HR leadership and managers to ensure a reliable, user-friendly ADP Workforce Now environment.
  • Complete other assigned job duties as needed.
