St. Therese - St. Paul Healthcare Centre, located in St. Paul, is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Unit Clerk to be the glue that holds our acute care team together. In this vital role, you'll practice the AHS CARES values while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care. Your strong computer skills will shine as you coordinate patient tests and treatments, manage admissions, discharges, and transportation, and keep all documentation accurate and timely. You'll also greet visitors, handle calls, and facilitate communication within the unit, creating a welcoming and organized environment. Clerical responsibilities include distributing and filing documents, processing healthcare billings, scheduling staff, managing payroll, and requisitioning supplies. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to pivot quickly between tasks, and clear communication. Description:

As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.

Experience in a high acuity medical setting is preferred. Relevant experience will also be considered. Connect Care training, previous Unit Clerk experience. Experience in scheduling, timekeeping/payroll entry and collective agreement language preferred.
