As a Climber Foreman (Crew Leader), you will take on a hands-on leadership role, guiding a team of skilled arborists in delivering high-quality tree care services. Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a tree care crew to ensure productivity, efficiency, and excellent customer service.
  • Plan and organize daily job tasks, allocate resources, and delegate responsibilities to crew members.
  • Operate and manage specialized equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts (bucket trucks), and cranes as needed.
  • Regularly climb and perform tree work to support crew production and job completion.
  • Conduct on-site safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Maintain job site cleanliness and ensure proper maintenance and security of equipment and vehicles.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and crew members, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Complete job paperwork, reports, and site assessments accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role within the tree care industry.
  • Hands-on experience in tree climbing, rigging, pruning, removal, and general tree operations.
  • Strong knowledge of tree biology, proper pruning techniques, equipment use, and safety standards.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Willingness to obtain a CDL Class B (with airbrake endorsement or higher).
  • ISA Certifications (Certified Arborist, Tree Worker Climber Specialist, etc.) or similar credentials are a plus.
  • Ability to operate and/or direct aerial lifts, cranes, and other heavy machinery safely and effectively.
  • Excellent leadership, time management, and communication skills.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work in various weather conditions.
