Description:

O’Connor is seeking an experienced Content Writer to join our growing marketing team. This position will create engaging, accurate, and original content across multiple digital channels. This would include blogs, landing pages, email marketing, pay-per-click, and online banners.  


Research will be a key aspect of this position. The Content Writer will develop a strong understanding of property tax law, terminology, and requirements across multiple states. The ideal candidate can translate complex information into clear, accessible content for different audiences.  


This position will collaborate with other team members of the content team, while also supporting the Marketing Manager and other executives with content-related projects.  

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Copywriting for multiple types of digital advertising. 
  • Produce original, well-researched content that aligns with brand standards and business objectives. 
  • Translate technical or complex information into clear and engaging content for a general audience. Edit and proofread content produced by other members of the content team. 
  • Participate in meetings, brainstorming sessions, and content development discussions.  
  • Update and optimize existing webpages to improve accuracy, readability, and performance. 

Manage multiple assignments while consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.

Requirements:

Requirements 

  • Mid-level: 3-5 years of experience as a content writer or copywriter. 
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates professional experience.  
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 
  • Ability to commute to the Houston office in the Heights area four days per week, with one designated remote day. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
  • Expert written communication skills. 

Bonus Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of SEO and the related best practices. 
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other tools.
