Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

This role involves safely and efficiently operating large heavy equipment on commercial job sites, primarily focused on civil site work and earthworks. You will handle large excavators, front end loaders, and dozers, and support the field team with general site activities when equipment operation is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate large excavators, front end loaders, and large dozers for civil site work and earthworks on commercial job sites.
  • Perform site work activities, including grading, excavation, backfilling, and material handling, in accordance with project plans and specifications.
  • Assist the field team with general construction tasks when not operating heavy equipment.
  • Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure safe and efficient operation, and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
  • Follow all safety procedures and site-specific regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and crew members to complete daily tasks on schedule and to required quality standards.
  • Operate heavy equipment in a variety of site conditions, including uneven terrain and active construction areas.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and contribute to overall job site cleanliness and orderliness.

Essential Skills

  • Current MA 2A-1C hoisting license.
