Job description

Position:
Grade 6 Online Teacher (Science)

Effective Date:
August 24, 2026

0.2 FTE



Pay:
  See Teacher Contract
Required Licensure:
  Current MN Teaching License: Science 5-8 or 5-9
Duties and responsibilities:
The position will work with colleagues to strengthen instruction using technology in order to advance the district mission by providing engaging, equitable, interdisciplinary, balanced instruction to all New Code Academy learners using online best practices.

  • Ability to fluently navigate technology for instruction and communication, including learning new skills, and supporting students and families as they learn new technologies as well.

  • A commitment to personal professional learning and development through a strong understanding of literature related to computer science education, student learning, and online pedagogy.
  • Ability to collaborate with other grade level, content area, and online staff members to improve curriculum, instruction, assessment, and relationships
