Job description

SSI is seeking a Program Manager to join our team in support of efforts based in the Patuxent River, MD area. The successful candidate will work across all disciplines supporting fielded missiles programs.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Provides engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation for complex systems in the logistics engineering discipline
  • Makes recommendations and advises on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.
  • Performs risk assessments and analysis employing modeling and simulation techniques.

Specific tasking will include but is not limited to:
  • Assists in the technical planning of work across all disciplines
  • Manage Cost Schedule and Performance
  • Manage team of approximately 20 FTEs
  • Support business growth for the PAX Area

Required Education:
  • MA/MS degree or BA/BS + 2 extra years

Required Experience:
  • 7 years performing duties described in posted Role and Responsibilities listed above.
  • NAVAIR and PMA experience is required.
  • Must exhibit expert level commination skills as this role involves communicating to senior levels of leadership, internal and external to SSI.
  • Must be able to assess, apply, and recommend improvements to established business processes; and can balance priorities to work effectively in the fast-paced program office environment.
  • Must be highly proficient Microsoft Office (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Project & Outlook).
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to lead meetings.
  • An active secret level security clearance is required. Applicant should be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
