Job description

Sales Account Executive - Auction Supply Team


Reports to: Sales Director

Rapaport isseekinga highly driven, sales-focused Account Executive to aggressively grow supplier participation and revenue for our global diamond auctions. This role is ideal for a true hunter-someone who thrives on prospecting, outbound sales, relationship building, and closing new business opportunities.

We are looking fora go-getterwitha strong senseof urgency who is energized by finding new opportunities, developing accounts, and consistently driving auction volume. The ideal candidate isconfidentmaking outbound calls, building pipelines, upselling existing clients, and turning relationships into long-term revenue growth.

As a member of the Auction Supply Team, you willbe responsible forsourcing new supplier accounts, increasing existing supplier participation, and driving consistent auction volume across monthly Melee and Single Stone auctions.


Key Responsibilities

New Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and onboard new auction suppliers through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and industry relationship development
    Drive consistent monthly auction participation by increasing supplier submissions and growing existing account volume
    Aggressively pursue new business opportunities within the diamond, jewelry, pawn, luxury resale, manufacturing, and estate markets
    Own the full sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting through onboarding, relationship management, and account expansion
    Upsell and grow existing supplier accounts by identifying additional auction opportunities and increasing submission frequency and volume
    Maintain a high level of outbound activity including calls, emails, follow-ups, and pipeline development
    Build strong supplier relationships that drive repeat business, loyalty, and long-term revenue growth
    Develop targeted outreach strategies for key market segments and high-potential accounts
    Educate suppliers on Rapaport's auction services, processes, and market opportunities
    Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and account tracking within Salesforce
    Collaborate with operations, compliance, and processing teams to ensure a seamless supplier experience
    Represent Rapaport Auctions at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings as needed


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management
    Diamond, jewelry, pawn, auction, or luxury goods industry experience strongly preferred
    Proven track record of prospecting, generating leads, closing new business, and growing accounts
    Strong hunter mentality with a highly proactive and competitive sales approach
    Comfortable with high-volume outbound outreach, cold calling, and pipeline building
    Strong upselling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
    Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
    Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
    Self-motivated, organized, goal-oriented, and highly driven to exceed targets
